Monoclonal Antibodies Español: desplazarse hacia abajo. Yesterday, on the weekend Sunday’s lunch, Miriam Mlawer , talked about the investment made by the pharmaceutical industry on research, she quoted some monoclonal products. Although the original technology of monoclonal antibodies was not developed in a pharmaceutical, but in the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, and the Basel Institute for Immunology, Basel, these opened a whole antibody production line for the industry. I had just only a vague memory about uncle Cesar and G. Köhler work, but I couldn’t go to sleep without remembering their monoclonal antibodies. In deed I don’t know if there is some family kinship with Cesar Milstein, Z’L, but taking advantage that he is the only Nobel with whom I share surname, I write uncle in this Blog.
